Game reviewsBloodrayne Call Of Duty Contract J.A.C.K. Doom 3 Far Cry No One Lives Forever No One Lives Forever 2 Tomb Raider: Angel Of Darkness Wars & Warriors: Joan Of Arc |
Set in the swinging 60's, but released in 2000, No One Lives Forever breathed new life
into the 1st-person shooter genre. You play as Cate Archer, former cat-burglar turned
secret agent. A terrorist organisation known as H.A.R.M. is out for world domination.
Cate's bosses at UNITY assign her to her first proper case, to investigate H.A.R.M.
related killings of UNITY agents. Features include a strong storyline, awesome dialogue and
graphics and some of the most memorable and outrageous characters I've ever seen in any game,
action or otherwise. The action unfolds over a wide variety of really diverse locations.
Cate has some very unique gadgets and weapons at her disposal and you get to choose your
inventory before each mission. The emphasis is on stealth, but you can happily blast your
way through the game if you wish. At the end of each mission is a summary of how you performed
in the mission, which is a cool incentive to be as sneaky and efficient as you can. Each
mission has about 3 or more levels and they provide very unique and creative situations, the
likes of which I've never seen in any previous shooter. You can eavesdrop on enemies and other
characters, the conversations are absolutely hilarious! There are lots of civilian characters
around most of the locations, which adds a lot of depth. You can also talk to most of them. In
my opinion, No One Lives Forever is one of the all-time great games. © Action Girls 2005.
